Welcome to the Old Bear room, we operate a key worker system in the Old Bear room, where we
spend time with and bond with our key children, this helps the
children to feel valued and helps make new relationships.
We love messy activities in the Old Bear Room such as gluing,
painting, gloop, dough, sand and water play. We also enjoy quiet
time when we have stories, singsongs and nursery rhyme time, during
these quiet times we can start to learn our colours, shapes, numbers
and even the alphabet ready for when we move onto the Jolly Tall
room.
We follow the EYFS Framework and every day carry out activities
that relate to our monthly topics and
You can always find our lovely work displayed on the walls within
our room.
Outdoor play is always fun, we really enjoy playing with the balls,
hoops, bikes and scooters and we go outside whatever the weather.
Mealtimes are an important part of our day and are an opportunity
for us to develop our social skills and manners. We all together
around the table with staff, and are encouraged to use knives
and forks and our manners!
We have a great time the Old Bear room joining in with all the
fun and enjoyable and learning activities that take place.
